When he both loses the big game, and is caught flirting with another player, his homophobic teammates throw him out. He vows to return one day with an all-gay team that will grind the heteros into the dust, so he sets off to find his “dream team.” With the help of his nurse sister, Ecki scours local gay bars and eventually assembles a hilariously motley but endearing crew of misfits that includes a leather-daddy threesome, a femme Turk with Beckham fantasies, a secret straight guy in love with the sister, and a seriously cute nurse eager for some private play-time with the goalie. Ecki now has two problems – turning this bunch into a team, and facing his own fears regarding his first romance.
The final game is a delicious clash of straight machismo and gay fabulousness that will have you both laughing and cheering down to the final showdown. (German with English subtitles)

Soapdish



A terrific comic cast makes the most of this often funny spoof of soap operas. Field is the reigning Queen of the Soaps. Goldberg is her writer and longtime friend. Kline is Field's ex-beau, who returns to the airwaves after a 20-year absence to be reunited with Sally -- both on-screen and off. Downey is the inefficient producer, more worried about bedding second-string actress Moriarty than his show's quality. And Shue rounds out the cast as Field's niece who, unbeknownst to her aunt, has signed on with the show. The film's tempo is played as grand farce, and though not all of the humor works, it's a joyously loony romp.

An unemployed, openly gay actor lands the role of a lifetime in this witty comedy about the downside of fame and fortune.
We meet Kerry Mitchell, an unemployed actor, spending his days auditioning for commercials for products that one doesn't discuss on prime time, and earning money as a Carl the Talking Carrot for kids' birthday parties. Unhappy with this dismal state of affairs, Kerry Mitchell and his Manager decide they must take drastic action if he is ever to reach any semblance of success and avoid total humiliation. At the same time the star of the popular television show, Espionage, Lance Hardcastle has a tragic accident that takes his life and puts his hit show at risk.
With the Espionage producers and network looking for a quick replacement, Kerry Mitchell and his manager grab their opportunity for the big break. Using his sexuality (gay) as an advantage instead of a hindrance; push Kerry Mitchell to the front of the line for the replacement of Lance Hardcastle. Both the Producers and the Network think that using an openly gay actor to portray TV's first gay spy hero would be a daring move, unique enough to create a momentum of publicity to make the tragic accident yesterday's news.
Idol follows Kerry, plucked from obscurity, through his crazy week of preparations before being unveiled to the public as America's number one spy hero. We meet the staff—the flamboyant publicist, the controlling manager, the manipulating producers, hair and make-up people, the co-star who was passed over for the lead, and the head of the brash cable network. And we hear plenty of testimonials from fans on the street and the almost famous in and around Hollywood as to their admiration for the deceased star and their loyalty to the hit show that must go on.
With the successes of Brokeback Mountain and Capote it may seem that the American public has embraced gays in the media. But is America really ready for TV's first openly gay action hero? Or has the network taken a bigger risk than it can pull off even with a massive publicity push? More importantly, Kerry Mitchell has a secret that's going to change everyone's perception of gay and straight, and sorely test the network's ability to control the spin.
Idol is in the same vein as Christopher Guest's Best in Show and Griffin Dunne's Lisa Picard is Famous. The Idol actors improvise their way hilariously through an already absurd scenario, providing ever more fuel and wit. Idol makes the viewer laugh his or her way toward deciding whether the public has really yet left the closet. It's a 90 minute ride that hits hilariously close to home and Hollywood.

Lie with Me


Cast: Lauren Lee Smith, Eric Balfour (TOTALLY NAKED & ERECT!!!!) Richard Chevolleau, Kristin Lehman
Busy and studly young actor Eric Balfour ("24" and "Six Feet Under") not only does full frontal in this sexually explicit drama, he shows himself erect!
Leila (Smith) is a woman coping with the divorce of her parents by engaging in a series of sexual relationships. She eventually meets an artist named David (Balfour) at a house party an the two immediately begin a heated sexual affair. Soon, they both realize their feelings may go beyond lust and for the first time in their lives they must deal with an emotional connection that challenges their beliefs in love and commitment. Based on the novel by Tamara Faith Berger.
An elegant yet raw study of sex, love and commitment, Lie with Me is pleasing to the eye in virtually every way, from its attractive, up-and-coming stars to the beautiful (sometimes shaky) camerawork — this is one fine, fine looking film. And that is, ultimately where the films succeeds. Regrettably, this too may be the film’s greatest liability, given that it’s quite easy to get lost in the superficial beauty and lusty happenings, and neglect the underlying narrative and weighty questions posed (even if it is as much of an after thought to the filmmaker as the audience). The graphic nature of the film is established from the start, with the two leads eventually baring it all and indulging in all sorts of sexplay.
David (Eric Balfour) and Leila (Lauren Lee Smith) are two fairly awkward yet very attractive 20-somethings whose sole focus lies in the realms of sex and carnality, yet both seem incapable of expressing (or even identifying) their true feelings. They meet to some extent at a party/nightclub, where both engage in outdoor play with someone else (she with a stranger, he with his girlfriend Polly), gazing at each other from across a parking lot. David maintains eye contact with Leila as she goes at it against a brick wall.
Sometime later, after a few chance encounters, they eventually get it on at David’s apartment. It is only after the act itself that they introduce themselves properly, telling each other their names and agreeing to going out on a date (evidently in Canada they do things a little differently). We learn that each has their individual problems at home; Leila is coping with her mother leaving her pothead dad, while gallant David must tend to his ailing, pervy father.
Eventually, jealously rears its ugly head and when hard times approach, David and Leila are painfully ill-equipped to help one another — as neither one is capable of expressing themselves beyond the physical. The inclusion of husky narration from the lovely Leila adds little to the picture, other than hammering home even further her emotional clumsiness. Lie with Me is great to look at, with its good-looking, frequently naked leads and hushed, almost dreamy sex scenes. All the same, the misplaced sentimentality and a predictably sappy and sluggish ending almost ruins any satisfaction gained from this alone… Almost.

The Lost Language of Cranes


In this now-classic gay film, Philip is a young man who, after falling in love, decides to come out to his family. Adapted from a now-classic David Leavitt novel and moved to London, there’s a great twist in this one! The DVD has been mastered from the British original with all the full frontal male nudity intact.
David Leavitt's critically acclaimed novel about a troubled family's crisis with homosexuality is powerfully adapted for the screen in this drama. Phillip, a young gay man, falls in love and begins to feel the need to tell his parents about his true sexual self. The twist is that Philip's father is also gay/bisexual but keeps his yearning closeted from his wife and family. The parallel stories of these two men and the emotionally distraught wife and mother caught in-between results in an undeniably painful melodrama that is exceptionally sensitive to the issues of homosexuality, bisexuality, coming out and familial miscommunication.

Shock Treatment


While not the late night classic that The Rocky Horror Picture Show was, this nonetheless pleasing sequel is a dynamic musical-comedy that finds Brad and Janet (now played by Cliff De Young and Jessica Harper) prisoners in demented Denton, home of happiness and TV game shows.
Richard O'Brien leads the proceedings as a mentally suspect medic in this twisted satire on The American Way (greed, lust, media-manipulation and skimpy attire).
Truly underappreciated.

Watchmen


The notoriously unfilmable graphic novel gets filmed! We strongly suggest reading Alan Moore's masterpiece first, because it can be hard to follow. But man, is this a dazzling piece of glorious eye candy from Zack Snyder (300), including Dr. Manhattan's (Billy Crudup, CGI enhanced) glowing blue penis.

It's got all the hot buttons you guys love: sexy men who appear naked, a hot cop (who likes to bottom), a terrific mystery, romance and a completely compelling story.
OpenCam is the story of a heartbroken hottie named Manny (Andreau Thomas), his internet-fueled love life and the men he has slept with that are subsequently brutally murdered. After an attack on Manny and his best friend/ex Maurice (Ben Green), Manny and the investigating cop Hamilton (Amir Darvish) take more than a casual interest in each other – in a dark alley. But Manny doesn't want to hook up with the hot cop again; it seems he doesn't want anyone twice. Instead, Manny is obsessed with an Internet webcam chatroom where guys jerk off on camera and all niceties of romance are shunted to the side. Hamilton checks the site himself and finds a murder – on camera – of a guy that Manny has slept with. When another former one-nighter of Manny's is murdered, Hamilton decides to trap the killer by pretending he's Manny's boyfriend, a not unpleasant prospect for the cop with the ripped abs.
Will the cops catch the killer before he kills again? Will Manny's heart open to Hamilton, or for another guy? Produced on a shoestring and created with tons of heart and soul, OpenCam is a treat for mystery lovers.

Destiny (Allan Louis) takes in India (Joe Lia) after saving him from a queer bashing and together with her other ‘rainbow child’ Lester (Minerva Vier) they live together and become a family. After “working all day to put food on the table” Destiny drags up and with her silver pistol, patrols the streets of West Hollywood protecting “her children” and “other people’s children” from the straight jocks who chase gays for fun or bash them for the rush. Against this unconventional setup but fully functioning ‘queer family’ will India find true love or forever be a ‘cute one night stand’? Will Lester find a girlfriend and shave her legs and will Destiny find herself a man. Anything can happen and in FAQs everything does happen in a very short space of time, climaxing with our queer musketeers freeing themselves from the homophobic bonds of an oppressive society.

Felicity Huffman ("Desperate Housewives") gives a bravura performance as a pre-op trans woman in this stunning tale of a mother (father) and her street hustler son on a cross-country journey.
Bolstered by an Oscar-worthy performance, Transamerica is a superb addition to the pantheon of essential queer films. There's something here for gay men, trans people and straight people. Trans people have reason to celebrate Felicity Huffman's sensitive and smart performance as Bree. a pre-op transexual. For gay men, the silky-skinned Kevin Zegers plays a biseuxal street hustler Toby, Bree's son. Straight men get to see Emmy-Award winner Felicity Huffman naked. And straight women get to see the star of "Desperate Housewives" play something other than Lynette. What everyone will love is a sweet story of family that crosses boundaries (and will probably anger the Chrstian right).
Bree (Huffman) has had several surgeries already on her path to become a woman. She's had her adam's apple removed, her breasts augmented and her forehead shortened. But the big day is a week away – she's getting her vagina – and she can't wait! But nothing will happen until her therapist Margaret (Pena) signs off. Just as things seem to be going perfectly, Bree gets word that the one time she had sex with a woman produced a child. And this child is in trouble. Toby (Zegers)is in lockup in NYC for prostitution. Margaret advices Bree that she needs to deal with this before she will sign the form. Bree goes to New York, bails the teenager out and the two set out on a road trip back to LA. Bree wants her surgery and Toby wants to become a gay adult porn star! Fearing rejection, Bree holds back on telling Toby that she's his dad which adds to the humor and tension of this roadtrip. First stop on the journey is Kentukcy where Toby was reared. The reunion of step-father and son goes rather poorly and the odd couple are back on the road again. They stop at folksy diners and do all kinds of southern american things. After a fight, the pair pick up a dred-locked wanderer who it appears is a new boyfriend for Toby, but that's not to happen. They meet Calvin Manygoats (Greene) and then touch down in Phoenix in a very dramatic reunion with Bree's family, who know her by moniker "Stanley."
Yes, it's a low budget indie, but Transamerica glows with a burst of undeniable queer energy that you'll want in your collection.

You Belong to Me


Jeffrey has met the man of his dreams – not – in this totally scary gay film from first-time writer/director Sam Zalutsky.

A stalker is being stalked in this totally scary film.
It's a sophisticated gay horror film in the Hitchcock/Rosemary's Baby vein.
Beautifully written and acted with perfection, this is one scary gay film.
Warning: Do not watch You Belong to Me alone under any circumstances. This writer watched it with only his dogs for company and they were squeezed so tightly they couldn't breathe. Sam Zalutsky's debut feature is a skillfully executed "grab the edge of your chair" thriller you won't soon forget.
Jeffrey (Daniel Sauli) seems pretty mild-mannered when we first meet him. His lover Rene (Julien Lucas) only wants him in bed, in Jeffrey's apartment, and Jeffrey's fine with that. At least that's what he tells his roommate/best friend Nikki (Heather Simms). But when he spots Rene on the street with another man he trails the men to their house. It's there that he spots a sign that there's an apartment for rent. The somewhat crazed landlady Gladys (Patti D'Arbanville) shows Jeffrey the apartment, which he begs to rent. The last tenant's belongings are all still there, and there's a mysterious black stain on the floor. But Jeffrey is so busy stalking his new neighbor he doesn't notice all the weird happenings in his new apartment. When a friend of the last tenant comes to visit there's a skirmish, and he vanishes after going to the landlord's apartment. It all seems peaceful again until a few days later Jeffrey hears a voice crying for help through the rotten floorboards. The secrets peel away one after another and it's not pretty.
With spot on acting, the whole cast takes watchers of this horror-tinged thriller to the brink and back again. Special mention must be made of Patti D'Arbanville (Andy Warhol's Flesh), whose characterization of the slightly mad landlady is brilliant beyond words. The story of a stalker who is actually being stalked to totally creepy and brilliantly executed. Kudos to writer/director Sam Zalutsky, he's a director to watch.

We Were One Man


A classic in the genre, We Were One Man tells a story of gay love between two WWII soldiers. Guy, a peasant French farmer, is trying to live a simple life during World War II. He lives in a small farmhouse outside a sleepy village in France. He has almost no friends, that is until one day when he stumbles across Rolf, an injured German soldier. The simple, naive Guy brings Rolf home and nurses him back to health. While convalescing, a relationship slowly builds between the two men. They frolic naked in the woods and swim in the stream. Thin, boyish Guy is a contrast to the blond, hard bodied Rolf. A passion stirs between to the two young men. Their lives intertwine, each happy to be sheltered and loved, that is until the war asserts itself back into their lives. (French with English subtitles)

When Love Comes


Life is more than just sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll in this gritty comic melodrama set in the New Zealand music industry. Drummer Fig (Nancy Brunning) and singer Sally (Sophia Hawthorne) are lovers and aspiring pop stars trying to jump-start their music careers. The girls seek help from a former pop diva named Katie Keane (Rena Owen), a one-time chart-topper who has returned home to recover from a downward spiral. They are also aided by their irresistibly cute but emotionally strung out songwriter, Mark (Dean O'Gorman), and Stephen (Simon Prast) Mark's frustrated boyfriend, who is Katie's best friend.
When Love Comes features some catchy pop songs amid the turmoil of Mark and Steven's tempestuous relationship, but the film's greatest attraction is Owen's outstanding performance as the washed up Keane. This funky, life-affirming film proves that there is nothing like true romance and the love of some good friends to cure the blues during a chaotic summer. Gay director Garth Maxwell (Jack be Nimble and the short "Beyond Gravity") packs an emotional wallop with this penetrating look at gay, lesbian and straight relationships.

It seems they have unspeakable tragedy in common as both of them discover they were abused as children. What results is a friendship built on despair but rife with hope.

Love! Valour! Compassion!


This adaptation of Terence McNally's hit play is one of the most essential gay comedies! Here's our nude actor rundown:
Hunky Randy Becker sunbathes nude! Out actor John Benjamin Hickey joins him for a naked swim. You also see Jason Alexander butt and a flash of his privates. Broadway's Stephen Spinella, Stephen Bogardus, John Glover and Justin Kirk (Angels in America) all have rear scenes during the final skinny-dipping scene.

Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning play, trimmed from its three-hour running time, makes for an affecting, low-keyed tragicomedy which offers alternately insightful, heartrending and funny moments, but this film adaptation just misses in capturing the play's passion and greatness. A group of gay friends from New York spend their summer holiday weekends in the country at the beautiful lakeside estate of lovers Gregory and Bobby. They include longtime companions Arthur and Perry, the witty show queen Buzz (who has AIDS), and John, an overbearing composer who is accompanied by his handsome young lover Ramon.
With a discerning eye and ear, McNally explores the bonds and boundaries of friendships and romantic relationships which is perceptive drama no matter what sexual orientation the characters may be. But Love! Valour! Compassion! is also stirringly gay, as well, and it unceremoniously celebrates queer humor and custom. The ensemble is terrific. All but Alexander (as Buzz) starred in the Broadway production, and he effortlessly fits in giving a tender, funny portrait. Glover is exceptional as John, and, in a dual role, his twin brother James, a sweet-natured, flamboyant PWA. Becker is an attractive and often nude Ramon.

In the Flesh






This gripping Atlanta-made police drama centers around the unlikely relationship between a young sweet looking but tough talking male hustler and a ruggedly handsome vice cop. Detective Philip Kirsch (Ed Corbin), a closeted Dolph Lungren-sized hunk, is reluctantly assigned to go undercover to infiltrate a drug ring possibly operating out of a gay bar. While staking out Blue Boy, a seedy hustler bar, he meets and is attracted to Oliver (Dane Ritter), a handsome but aloof prostitute. The cop quickly becomes obsessed with the young man – and learns that the 21-year-old also leads a double life: that of a middle class college student who helps his family through hustling at night. Their nascent relationship becomes strained when a murder points to Oliver as the prime suspect resulting in secretive worlds being exposed, and forcing them to learn how to trust one another. An unusual thriller/love story infused with interesting characters from the attractive leads to the suspicious bartender, catty rent boys and an older cop who has seen it all. Although low budget with some wooden acting the character development is strong and the film is quite appealing.

The movie is loosely based on the Edgar Allan Poe classic short story, The Fall of the House of Usher. Here's a synopsis: Victor Reynolds (Michael Cardelle) receives a desperate letter from his childhood friend and first love, Roderick Usher (Frank Mentier). Roderick, a notorious recluse, has not left the grounds of his hilltop mansion in many years. He is in bad health and he needs Victor's love and care to survive. However, after a series of bizarre and spooky events, Victor realizes that both his friend and the house have a dark past that no one has lived to uncover.

Even though I usually DON'T take requests, I do like to know what you guys find interesting and would like to see posted here. BUT!!!! Please, realize, an average movie TAKES 6 TO 8 HOURS TO UPLOAD! DON'T EVEN THINK OF REQUESTING A TV SERIES! IT COULD BE MONTHS BEFORE I POST ANOTHER MOVIE.
