Welcome to my blog! Most of you have found this blog either from Rubbing1Off, or Needed Relief. ONLY movies that have some type of Gay theme will be posted here, NO PORN! Plans are to eventually replace ALL Gigasize files with RS or SS. If you find a link that is dead, please contact me at WeOrGj@gmail.com. Will do my best for requests, as long as the requested movie is Gay Themed. Thanks, DK

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar

Destined to be forever referred to as the "American Priscilla," this bit of cross-dressing whimsy lacks that film's exhilaration and sharp character definition, but ultimately pleases with its good humor and spirited performances. Swayze and Snipes get in touch with their feminine side as they don sequins and high heels as two New York drag queens who win a preliminary drag contest and ride off towards Hollywood for the finals. Along for the ride is Latina spitfire Leguizamo. En route, they run afoul of the law, and are stranded in a small Midwestern town which provides most of the story. Though the gay characters are positively portrayed, they are virtually sexless fairy godmothers who neither love or have partners and who help the hapless heterosexuals with no fashion sense. This is so tame you can watch it with your mom. Leguizamo steals the show as the fiery Chi Chi.

Beautiful Thing

This movie has to be one of my favorite 'Gay Themed' movies ever! Believe it was also the first ever gay themed movie I ever viewed. Thanks Paul!!! A movie, that if you're like me, you'll watch over and over again. Hell, the music makes it worth watching more than once!! Thanks, 'C'

This tender story of two teenager's sexual coming of age in a working-class development in London is an inspiring, tender, emotional tale. Jamie is a reserved teen, close to his pub manager mom, who prefers old Hollywood musicals to sports. His friendship with his hunky neighbor Ste, a fellow student who suffers through a troubled family life, soon develops into a sexual and eventually a loving relationship. How the two boys tentatively handle their nascent sexual drives and how it affects their family and friends is handled in both a fresh and surprisingly upbeat fashion. A wonderful comedy-drama and possibly the best coming out film to date.

The Curiousity of Chance

An openly gay teen is faced with high school hell in The Curiosity of Chance, a queer throwback to the John Hughes-styled comedies of the '80s.

Lots of cute boys!
This is a very sweet-natured film
It was a major festival hit!
In The Curiosity of Chance, his feature film debut, writer/director Russell P. Marleau pays homage to the '80s high school comedies of John Hughes and switches the perspective to that of an openly gay teenager. We follow Chance Marquis (Tad Hilgenbrink), a fashionable new student at an Americanized European High School for army brats. He is instantly picked on by Brad (Maxim Maes), the egomaniacal school bully, for wearing a bow tie and top hat on his first day. After joining the newspaper, he befriends Twyla (Aldevina Da Silva) and Hank (Pieter Van Nieuwenhuyze), two fellow outcasts. With their aid and a little advice from a drag performer named Claire Vuoyant (Danny Calander), Chance may be able to overcome persecution from Brad, the vindictive and highly unhygienic Vice Principal Smelker (Magali Uytterhaegen) and his own military-obsessed father (Chris Mulkey). During all this, he finds time to experiment with female impersonation and tries to win the heart of Levi (Brett Chukerman), the hunky blonde jock/musician next door.Featuring a varied cast of fresh new faces and an ample soundtrack of pop hits from the '80s, The Curiosity of Chance is out to charm and strike a nostalgic chord.

Like It Is

London's gay club world comes alive in this sexy, funny drama about two young men - one a bare-knuckle fighter and the other an ambitious record producer - who fall in love, despite enormously different backgrounds. Steve Bell is unforgettable as the Blackbool fighter who is struggling with his sexual identity, Ian Rose plays the ultra-cool urbanite and Roger Daltry (yeah, THAT Roger Daltry...of The Who) is wickedly funny as Ian's bitchy boss. Romantic, honest and highly entertaining, Like It Is offers an enjoyable and positive look at gay life rarely seen in films.
Set amidst the disparate worlds of the London pop music scene and the bare knuckles boxing clubs of working-class Blackpool, Like It Is is a sexy, and at times, caustically funny tale of one youth's coming out and his first, tumultuous gay love affair. Craig (real-life boxing champ Steve Bell) is a 21-year-old Blackpooler who makes his living by fighting in illegal bare-knuckle fights. But the tough youth is also a closeted gay. He meets by chance Matt (Ian Rose), a cocky London music producer who takes Craig under his wing. The affair brings wide-eyed Steve down to the swinging gay Soho scene and into the duplicitous clutches of Matt's friends, which include Paula (Dani Behr), Matt's flatmate and an up-and-coming singer threatened by the arrival of the youth; and Kelvin (The Who's Roger Daltrey), Matt's gay and decidedly wolfish boss. Will Craig find happiness in Britain's gay Mecca or be forced back to his sordid former world? Some of the film's best moments are when it shows the tensions of being gay in a tough, macho environment; the biting indictment of shallow gay men; and the hilarious camp performance by Daltrey who sinks his toothy grin into his role with lecherous gusto
.

and then came summer

A reunion of family and friends becomes an unforgettable vacation when two teenage boys discover their secret feelings toward one another. The relationship is eventually exposed to their families - leading to denial and a questioning of self-worth from each of the boys. The exposed relationship brings to light that one of the boys was previously institutionalized for his homosexuality by his older brother.Beautiful gay teens, hunky straight guys, great scenery at the beach - not much to complain about with this issue oriented drama that faces up strongly and surprisingly erotically to the issue of gay teens. The handsome cast tells an ultimately uplifting tale with aplomb, considering the obviously minute budget. Teenage David and his younger brother travel to his Dad's hometown with their recently separated father. Upon their arrival, Dad renews a friendship with his hunky old buddy, while his teenage brother, Seth, hits it off well with David. The two very cute boys become real close, real fast. They become so bonded that one night the teens get drunk, make a fire on the beach, look into each other's eyes and lock lips. One thing the boys didn't know is that David's younger brother was spying on them and he's not too happy with what he saw. The next day over lunch with the whole tribe the whole story comes out of the closet with the teens. In a truly affirmative spirit Dad embraces his son. A truly worthwhile drama - sort of a queer after-school special!

Eating Out

This screwball comedy harkens back to the days of Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn (who may be turning over in their respective graves with that comparison) as a hunky straight guy pretends he's gay to get a date with a woman who only likes to hang out with gay men. Caleb just wants to meet a nice girl now after a bad experience. He goes to a party with his gay best friend and roommate Kyle (the adorably out Jim Verraros of "American Idol" fame) and spies Gwen (Stiles) as she throws her latest gay boyfriend out of the bedroom. Kyle explains to Caleb that Gwen only seems to like gay boys and he convinces Caleb he must pretend to be gay to get Gwen's attention, and it does. Caleb is so convincing that Gwen decides to fix Caleb up with her own gay best friend Marc (Carnes), a super-stud. And to top off the whole ridiculous situation, Kyle has a long-standing crush on Marc, who doesn't even seem to remember his name. Suffice it say, this is quite a date! Combining plenty of adorable gay boys with some seriously madcap humor makes Eating Out a great bet.

Steel Magnolias

Although some may 'argue' that this isn't a 'Gay-Themed' movie, it happens to be one of my favorite 'chick' flicks. Couldn't begin to guess how many times I've watched this movie, but guessing well over 25 times. I especially like the comment about 'Track Lighting'!!!
If I receive a request or two for this to be posted in RS or SS, I will do my best to get it uploaded. Just email Dakota.Montana.Utah@gmail.com to email your request. Thanks, DM

A fine ensemble cast is featured in this heartrending, sentimental and funny comedy-drama. The story centers on the friendship of six women in a small Louisiana town who meet periodically at the local beauty shop. Field heads this terrific cast as mother of newlywed Roberts, whose marriage is much of the focus of the film. MacLaine is hilarious as the town curmudgeon; and Dukakis is splendid as the gossipy town matriarch. The first half of the film suffers from sloppy editing, and sometimes the characters seem interchangeable with other Southern-themed works, but the performances are so captivating the film's flaws can be overlooked.

Socket

After being struck by lightning on a beach, surgeon Bill Matthews (Long) recovers in the hospital where he works. His intern is the mysterious hot young intern Craig Murphy (Matthew Montgomery, Gone, but Not Forgotten) who has also been struck by lighting. While flirting intensely, they share stories of what it's been like to survive such a trauma. As he is being released from the hospital Craig slips Bill a card inviting him to a meeting of "people just like us." He shoves it into his pocket thinking only of it as a way to get into the hottie's pants. But Bill's life is listless during recovery and he can't seem to get the energy to do much of anything. He pulls the card out of his pocket and gets up the courage to attend the mysterious meeting. There he meets other survivors of massive electric current, but it's not quite a support group! These people hook themselves up to electric current and get off on it. Bill not only becomes hooked on current, he hooks up with Craig in a fiery relationship. Who knows how far this madness will progress? With ample male flesh on display, lively realistic writing, crisp direction and excellent acting, Socket will light up your television. This is one queer horror tale we've never seen before!

Wrangler: Anatomy of an Icon

Cast: Jack Wrangler, Margaret Whiting, Bruce Vilanch, Marc Shaiman, Michael Musto, Chi Chi LaRue, Gino Colbert, Joe Gage

Long before Jeff Stryker and Michael Lucas, Jack Wrangler was the number one name in gay porn. His wildly unpredictable career and life is recounted in this terrific, funny, smart and sexy (non-hardcore) documentary.

Born into a showbiz family, John Robert Stillman found a different sort of stardom as the sandy blonde gay porn icon Jack Wrangler. Openly gay, Wrangler tapped into the '70s gay zeitgeist, personifying many a homo’s sex fantasy. He starred in some 80-plus porn films, including

Kansas City Trucking Co., Heavy Equipment, and Wanted, and became a genuine brand name (at least one product was modeled from his own equipment). He even conquered straight porn, famously playing the fire-shooting Beelzebub in The Devil in Miss Jones II.Offscreen, Wrangler's life was equally sensational - at 33 he fell in love and married Margaret Whiting, a 55-year-old '40s pop star. When he told Ms. Whiting that he was gay, she replied "Just around the edges, dear." Retiring from porn at Whiting's insistence, Wrangler narrowly escaped the AIDS epidemic, and he turned to the legitimate stage.Director Jeffrey Schwarz has assembled an absolute must-see with priceless archival footage - both sexy and hysterically campy - interviews and the utterly delightful account by Wrangler himself. He’s a brilliant raconteur, and his yarn is spun from pure - or not so pure - gold.
