Edward II






Not only one of the director's greatest, but one of the best examples of "New Queer Cinema." Jarman has reworked Christopher Marlowe's play into a homoerotic, sexually charged, radically relevant work for our times. Steven Waddington stars as the tragic King Edward, Andrew Teirnan as his beloved Gaveston, Nigel Terry as the villainous Mortimer and Tilda Swinton is the jealous and destructive Queen Isabella. One of the film's most surprising sequences occurs when Annie Lennox appears crooning Cole Porter's classic "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye," the piece she performed in the AIDS benefit "Red, Hot and Blue."
Graphically brutal, moving, surprisingly funny and always erotic, Jarman blends Marlowe's prose with contemporary jargon and costumes, replete with positive portrayals of queer sex, profanity and ACT-UP activists for a truly mesmerizing experience.
Brilliant, daring and innovative, Edward II is contemporary filmmaking at its finest, one of the best examples of modern queer cinema, and a must for serious film-lovers.

Gigasize and 'Split' Movies

All movies posted in Sendspace and Rapidshare will have the same links, so you can download from either and get the same links.

With that in mind, some of you are not aware that these movies have been split in order to be uploaded, which means that the movies must be JOINED in order to view the entire movie. Here's the link that you'll need in order to download the 'joiner' HJ Split.

Once the movie is joined, you will have the whole movie to enjoy. The split files can be deleted at this point. You will no longer need them. A word of caution. Even though I usually DON'T take requests, I do like to know what you guys find interesting and would like to see posted here. BUT!!!! Please, realize, an average movie TAKES 6 TO 8 HOURS TO UPLOAD! DON'T EVEN THINK OF REQUESTING A TV SERIES! IT COULD BE MONTHS BEFORE I POST ANOTHER MOVIE.
